The romantic holiday cottage is located in the heart of the stunning Suisse Normande countryside. Bréel is perfectly placed for great city, cultural or coastal days out, and less than an hour from the Caen-Ouistreham ferry port, making it an ideal location for a romantic getaway in France.

Roche D'Oetre

Just up the hill is the famous Roche D'Oetre. Take a (careful) peek at its spine tingling 118 meter drop to the valley of the River Rouvre below. Here you'll find a tourist information centre, gift shop and a restaurant, serving everything from ice creams and coffees to full, four course meals. Also within minutes of the cottage is a high ropes adventure course for all ages, and an easy wildlife river walk with a coffee/book and gift shop at the end of it.

Boulangeries, Shops & Markets

There are several boulangeries a short drive away for your warm, morning croissants and freshly baked baguettes, also butchers' shops, bars and mini-marts in several local villages, with larger supermarket chains and bustling markets in the busier centres of Flers and Falaise, both about 20 minutes' drive.

Paris, Falaise & Caen

There's also a station at Flers where you can hop on an early train to Paris, and be there for nine. All day station parking is free. Historic Falaise boasts William the Conqueror's castle; which is well worth a visit. Further afield, Bréel is beautifully based for great city days out at Rouen or Caen, the mystical Mont St Michel, the incredible Bayeux Tapestry, or the stylish coastal resorts of Trouville, Granville and Honfleur (perfect for midday mussels!).
